Delivery charges can take the fun out of shopping online, but the Zazzle Black free delivery scheme eases the pain with a single annual subscription. Even better, you can try it for free for 30 days. Combine that with one of Zazzle's frequent special sales, and you will be able to buy unique personalized gifts at very reasonable prices.
Paperweights are a new product just added by Zazzle, and they look so colourful and pretty. I have my eye on them not just for christmas presents, or a unique personalized birthday gift, but also for myself to brighten up my study with something new and inexpensive.
There are several different shapes to choose from. Here is a selection from Jules Designs and Rowing by Jules to showcase some of the design possibilities: Designer Luggage Tags are a great way to personalize your luggage. A custom bag tag helps you spot your case as it trundles past on the baggage carousel, and stops another passenger picking up your similar-looking suitcase by mistake. It can be fun to add some Bon Voyage text to the tag to put you in the holiday mood. But a big no-no is putting your home address on the label. Do you really want to announce to the whole world the precise location of a property that you have left unoccupied? What a security risk! However, it IS useful to add contact details to make it easy for your bag to be returned to you if it goes astray, so a phone number where you can be reached while you are away is a good idea. Here are some ideas I found on Zazzle that will add some holiday sparkle to your luggage for your next trip.
End of year for schools and colleges is fast approaching, along with the perennial problem of what to buy to show appreciation. Popular gifts are not always the wisest choice – chocolates and biscuits (too fattening and unhealthy in large numbers), bathroom stuff (too personal and what fragrance will be right?), scarves and jewellery (tricky unless you are confident of the teacher’s style). Teachers love to be noticed and thanked, but generally prefer something thoughtful and inexpensive rather than a large and costly present. How about a personalized gift? Pens or post-it notes are practical and fun, and can be tailored to suit the individual. In Taiwan, Father's Day is celebrated on 8th August for linguistic reasons. The Chinese for eight is 'ba', and dad is 'ba-ba', so the eighth day of the eighth month sounds much like 'daddy'. Father’s Day may never gain quite the popularity of Mother’s Day, yet how lovely that all around the world, we have a day dedicated to the fathers and father figures in our lives.
Tennis balls are a new addition to Zazzle. This prompted me to take a look at the ever-increasing range of balls for various sports you can now find on Zazzle. These balls would make a lovely novelty gift. There are all sorts of images and slogans available, or you can add a name or initials for special personalization. Or you can simply use them as intended, to play sport. These are good quality 'real' products, not cheap gimmicks best left on the shelf. Here is a selection:
Nowadays, the religious aspect has mostly been forgotten, and it has become simply an opportunity to show our mothers how much we love and appreciate them. The day might start with children preparing a breakfast tray to bring their mum breakfast in bed, with a homemade card and some flowers. No matter if the toast is burnt or the tea is cold: it is the thought and the effort that counts. Grown up children might take their mother out for a celebratory lunch. But however it is marked, woe betide any child who doesn’t call to say “Happy Mother’s Day – thank you mum!”.
Saint Valentine's Day celebrates a time of year that has historically been associated with fertility. Birds are thought to find their mates in February, and are thus popular romantic images often depicted on valentine cards.
It was not until the Middle Ages however that St Valentine’s Day became a day for lovers, and only in the 18th century did the first commercial valentine cards appear. Nowadays, 14th February is one of the most popular occasions in the calendar for card-giving. In the UK alone, around 25 million valentine cards are given each year.
